Novel, diluent-producing treatment

Auterra’s innovative Flex technology exploits the natural tendencies of impurities found in heavy-sour oil to treat crude in a process that actually creates its own diluent. Flex removes large amounts of sulfur by breaking apart large asphaltenes and hydrocarbons into smaller chains, creating a new syn-crude.

Upgraded crude without high costs

The syn-crude produced by Auterra’s Flex desulfurization treatment is less expensive to transport, significantly lower in impurity content of sulfur, nitrogen, and metals, and has a lower density and higher volume.
